Location

Longview is conveniently located at 5403 Livernois Road, Troy, MI 48098.

From I-75:  Get off at Crooks Rd (Exit 72), and turn right (North).  Go over the bridge, and turn right onto Square Lake Rd (East).  Take Square Lake Rd to Livernois Rd, and turn right (South).  Longview is on the right-hand side of the road.  We have a large lighted sign and reflecting triangles on our driveway.

History

Longview was founded in 1956 in the same location it occupies today, originally known as Vincent Kennels. Consistent with the Vincents’ tradition, those who oversee Longview have always resided on the property. Over the years, Longview has expanded to include two large dog kennel buildings, an all-purpose dog grooming salon, and a separate cat boarding area. The previous caretakers, Chris and Cherie Noullet, managed Longview from 2001 to 2019. They lovingly passed the business on to Mike and Amanda Russo in February 2019. Amanda worked at Longview as a teenager and discovered her passion for pet care, inspiring her to return more than a decade later. Mike and Amanda have big plans for Longview, including renovations, staff training, and other improvements. Welcome to Longview, where we treat your pets like family!

  • Saturday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Meet the Staff

Longview has a kennel manager, office assistant, and multiple kennel assistants that are on site from before, during and after office hours caring for our guests.

We also have three groomers with impressive experience to bring you excellent grooming 7 days a week!

 

The Caretakers

Mike and Amanda Russo have been managing Longview Boarding and Grooming, L.L.C. since February 2019. Mike grew up in Chicago, Illinois, while Amanda grew up in Shelby Township, Michigan. Mike and Amanda are both engineers with degrees from University of Illinois, Chicago and Michigan State University, respectively. They got married in May 2018 and are thrilled to join the Longview family. They have each owned dogs and cats and have been pet lovers since birth, together owning 2 dogs– Ragnor, a pointer mix, and Aki, a chihuahua mix.
